Responsibilities
Our Woodbury NY office located in Nassau County has an excellent career opportunity for a CADD Design Engineer in our Water/Wastewater Practice for projects located in the metropolitan area. We offer a full range of engineering consulting services including: planning, design, permitting, construction management, operations, regulatory compliance and utility management for water and wastewater utilities and municipalities.
Successful candidates will use their technical abilities to assist our Project Managers and Project Engineers with services to Municipal and Private Clients that meet their engineering needs, while working in a dynamic team setting.
Position responsibilities will include:
Prepare plan, section and detail drawings for various mechanical process systems,
Prepare site plan, alignments, and Plan and profiles for various civil site and pipeline projects.
Coordinate with the other disciplines and provide solutions to conflicts.
Ensure drawing compliance with company and client CAD standards, styles and protocols
Create, manage and supervise the production of contract drawing submittals
Identify individual efforts on each task to communicate with project manager
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of design experience with water/wastewater projects required
Completion of Engineering Technology Associate's degree or 4-year degree preferred
Completion of technical school with CAD design certificate will be considered
Fluent 2D AutoCAD (version 2014 and higher) skills required
3D experience (AutoCAD MEP/Revit) a plus however will train
AutoCAD Civil 3D (version 2014 and higher) Software skills a plus however will train.Understanding of chemical and process piping materials and fittings required
Understanding of basic structural and architectural design required
Understanding of basic civil engineering design principles required
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required
